OUR HISTORY
Glenn Pickett, Founder of the Waterville Main Street Association
Glenn saw a flier on historic preservation in early 2012. He thought that this was a perfect concept for Waterville. He contacted a group of business people in Waterville and found others who had similar interests. Glenn held a meeting with the interested community members and formed what is now the Waterville Main Street Association.
Glenn was our first president, and through his leadership he provided a vision of what he felt Waterville could be if we all had a common goal and objective. This began with a board of directors and the task of forming a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, which we were able to do in record time.
If it were not for Glenn’s vision, the Waterville Main Street Association would not be a viable business entity.
Glenn passed away in December of 2012, and we dedicate this organization to his memory.
